Vacuum Boosters

High-Performance Vacuum Boosters

Kinney vacuum boosters deliver high pumping speeds and deeper vacuum levels by supercharging primary vacuum pumps for maximum efficiency. Built from durable materials—including cast iron, ductile iron, stainless steel, and Bi-Protec options—these dry, positive displacement boosters perform reliably even in harsh or continuous-duty environments. Ideal for applications such as drying, dehydration, packaging, distillation, and chemical or industrial processing, Kinney vacuum boosters provide powerful, flexible performance trusted across a wide range of industries.

What Do Vacuum Boosters Do?

Vacuum boosters use two-lobe rotors that spin in opposite directions to move gas quickly and efficiently. By supercharging a primary vacuum pump, they dramatically increase pumping speed, improve cfm, and achieve much deeper vacuum levels—often boosting system performance by up to eight times. This makes it possible to reach target vacuum levels faster while reducing overall equipment and horsepower requirements. When operated venting to atmosphere, vacuum booster inlet pressure is typically limited to about half an atmosphere.
